The Great Summer Road Trip, Day 4

Today I ventured, all alone, from the North Shore into the city. Aucklanders have very flash bus stops, or rather bus stations.

All lovely and clean, and even an inquiries desk where all your questions are answered by two very pleasant staff who can explain everything the out-of-towner needs to know.

What they can't do is actually sell you a ticket. So if you have no actual cash and no Hop card to top up on via a machine, you are out of luck because there are no ATMs. Luckily I had all the time in the world to stroll back to the shops and get some money. It has been a lovely, sunny day and and it was fun exploring the city of sails.
