Summer Season #7

This post is a wee test to see if Petone Ponderings, the Summer Season, can continue posting for the next few weeks while on the road. Previous attempts to use the iPad for blogging have proved unsuccessful and frustrating, but after an operating system upgrade, Blogger app install and complete settings reset we have some progress. Previous attempts failed when only text could be used, and here at Petone Pondering we have always prided ourselves on our photo and image content. So ... can we now add visuals?

With difficulty, but yes! But what about our video content? No, that is a step way too far for the dear old iPad and so we move back onto the mighty iMac for the last album and track recommendations for the next week or two. I just saw an interesting documentary about the wonderful Kenny Everett.

It was all done 'in the best possible taste' and a lovely reminder of a brilliant comedian from way back. Although we only knew him from his television work here in the colonies, he was a huge personality and ground breaker in British radio. Apparently his very favourite music was from Queen and ELO, with producers often having to monitor closely through his shows to ensure he didn't just play them exclusively.

Don't forget to keep following Petone Ponderings as we hit the road for the great 2016 North Island road trip, during which we will be 'going the extra mile' for our audience.

  1. A terrible thing to loose the skilled musicians in favour of some guy with an average voice and a mate with a big drum set.

  3. I always liked ELO. Not because of the string players, they had some good songs.
