I remember when Nine Inch Nails released this. It made the hairs at the back of my neck stand up. Johnny Cash's version had an even stronger effect. More visceral somehow. It is hard to listen to and compelling at the same time. A masterpiece.
He invests a lot of emotion into it. I bought the CD to get this track, before I ever saw it on YouTube. The video is excellent, brilliant use of clips.
